Hi Girls!
I've decided it's better to bake those large chocolate chip cookies about 2 minutes longer - the softness doesn't last as long but you really get a better flavor from the brown sugar and butter. Give it a shot.

Chocolate Chip Cookies - Betty Crocker Style
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar (I use light)
1 cup butter or margarine, softened (see below)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (I don't use these)
1 bag (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg until well blended.
3. Add flour, baking soda and salt to the sugar mixture until blended.
4. Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts).
